Armed Forces purchased Turkish rifles Hatsan: Why are they not suitable for fighting drones (video)
First of all, it was stated that the Turkish shotgun has design features and quality of execution, which do not best affect its operation in difficult conditions of real fighting. For example, manual says that Hatsan BTS-12 is an ambide-exist gun, which allows to use it to shulgam. However, in this case, during the shot, the sleeve flies to the face, and powder gases can get into the eyes.
This is due to the fact that this shotgun has a bull-pap structure and a shutter window through which the sleeves are displaced closer to the head of the shooter. The next point is the presence of a Picatini bar to install weighting. But because it is made of plastic, for example, the collimator sight gives a backlash. This way, it is problematic to adjust the sight of the shotgun.
It was also noted that during operation, the screws on the rifle were unscrewed, and the shutter handle repeatedly fell out, which is absolutely unacceptable for the weapons that would be used in combat. Another inconvenience is the feature of the trigger mechanism, which eventually becomes unusable. The Hatsan BTS-12 problem and with the barrel-a nut of the trunk fixing often unscrewed after shooting a small amount of ammunition, which can eventually lead to a shooter injury during firing.
As a result, three main problems of the shotgun were emphasized: the author of the video concludes that Hatsan BTS-12 is a gun for entertaining shooting in a dash and use in rare cases of self-defense. However, as weapons for army in real combat and should use it against enemy drones, BTS-12 is unsuitable. Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the admission of about ten new samples of pistols and machine guns of both foreign and Ukrainian production.
