The Hungarian OTP Bank, which was excluded from the List of International Sponsors of War, supports a dialogue with the National Agency to prevent corruption and the European Commission on its withdrawal from the Russian Federation. The Hungarian OTP Bank is engaged in the implementation of its plan, which provides exit from the Russian financial market. Alexander Novikov, Head of the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption (NAPC), said this on January 15.

"OTP Bank is in communication with the National Agency and the European Commission in the process of implementing the plan of leaving the Russian Federation," Novikov said. He also said that some international companies have addressed the NAPC and asked them to exclude them from the list of international war sponsors. According to Novikov, the agency studied all requests, but was guided by public exception criteria that are on the website of the National Agency.

"We exclude such companies or stop their status only after they leave the Russian market or provide a plan of release," - said Alexander Novikov. The head of the NAPC also added that the International Register of Sponsors of War is a tool for checking counterparties. "It is Ukrainian ATACMS that can get anywhere in the world and influence transnational corporations. Forcing them not to make money on blood. And it is the only one such a remedy in Ukraine," he said.
