Ukraine wants to hold a second world summit with the participation of Russia by the end of the year - Reuters

The Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey Vasyl Bodnar explained that Kiev expects that the international community together with Ukraine will sit down and form a list of steps to achieve a just peace and discuss the requirements that Russia can be made on the basis of this list. Ukraine seeks to organize a second peace summit by the end of 2024 and wants Russia to participate in it. This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey Vasyl Bodnar on Wednesday, October 9, reports Reuters.

At the same time, it excluded any direct bilateral negotiations with Moscow at this meeting. "One of the most important goals of this summit is to achieve a just peace in Ukraine. We are not talking about the format when Ukraine and Russia are sitting opposite each other and Ukraine listens to Russia's demands," Bodnar said at a briefing in Ankara. He explained the vision of this process.

According to him, Kiev expects that the international community together with Ukraine will sit and form a list of steps that need to be taken for a fair peace in Ukraine. They will then discuss what requirements it can be made on the basis of this list. "It will not be a direct bilateral meeting, it is likely to be a format where third parties will be involved, and (editions - ed. ) Will be conducted through third parties.

On August 30, Bloomberg wrote that Volodymyr Zelenskyy suggested that India Prime Minister Narendri Modi to hold a second peace summit in India before the US presidential election. However, he did not agree to the proposal of the President of Ukraine, as India is skeptical of the Ukrainian initiative because of Russia's unbelief in the negotiation process.
