Military registration of women medical records will not affect their possibility of traveling abroad (video)

Medical women can still leave the country. In order to impose restrictions on departure, the Verkhovna Rada must first amend the legislation. Women who have medical or pharmaceutical education and must be able to travel abroad in Ukraine from October 1, 2023. There are no changes related to the crossing of the border for this category of citizens.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine with reference to the statement of the representative of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko. According to Demchenko, restrictions only affect men aged 18-60, as well as for some categories of officials, both men and women, according to the Cabinet Resolution No. 57 "Rules for crossing the state border by citizens of Ukraine".

The representative of the State Border Service added that the restriction on departure from the country does not apply to women who have already been on military accounting. In addition, women have time by the end of 2026 to get a military ticket. "If changes are made to these Rules, they will be followed," Demchenko said. That is, in order to limit the departure of women medical abroad, the government must first adopt appropriate changes to the legislation.

The latest changes in the legislation provide that the following categories of citizens of Ukraine should be compulsory military accounting: information about students of medical and pharmaceutical specialties is provided by the educational institution two months before graduation. Women who have other military specialties related to military affairs may also be on military registration since October 1. But they can only make such a decision on their own.
