In total for 20 000 UAH: engineer teaches Ukrainians to make copies of FPV-fields of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (video)

The man has already collected five aircraft on his own, but will not be able to scale production on his own to properly equip the Ukrainian soldiers who were already interested in such means. People's craftsman Volodymyr Mussour from the village of Broshniv-Osada of the Ivano-Frankivsk region copied the Russian lightning drone and teaches Ukrainians to produce them. The focus talked with a volunteer-developer and learned what the advantage of such means and how they would help the military.

Since May 2024, Russian troops have been using cheap lightning aircraft, made of Chinese details, aluminum tubes, plywood and polyserol. In particular, with their help the invaders attacked Ukrainian soldiers and equipment in the Siverskyi direction and in the area of the time ravine. They use the same type of communication and electronics as FPV digters, but are guided otherwise. As Vladimir Mussur explained, compared to FPV-Drones "Lightning" have a greater flight range-about 40 km.

Because of this, the Ukrainian soldiers cannot feel safe in the rear, where drums do not reach. "Aerodynamics in" Lightning "no. Some say they do not have to fly at all, but fly and cause great harm," he emphasized. The planes also raise a heavier combat part - about 3 kilograms. But most importantly, it is a low cost, it is possible to collect such UAV for about 20,000 hryvnias (about the same amount cost quadcopter-Kamikadze).

A flight controller, motor, propeller, cameras will have to be ordered from China, something can be found in Ukraine. In addition to the details, it will also require a laser machine with a numerical software control to cut plywood mounts, Vladimir purchased his $ 700. It is also required for foam cutting for wings - simple can be bought for 2000 UAH. Vladimir Mussur recreated technology and is ready to teach others.

In particular, it provides video instructions and files for the CPC-Stanka, which he created himself. It is enough to contact the master on Facebook and undergo some check. The Ukrainian made five such devices at their own expense, which he plans to transfer to the military. There are demand for shock aircraft among the defenders, they say that the Russians do considerable damage with "lightnings", but they can be paid the same coin.

The developer says that he cannot scale production to make a considerable number of such drones. First of all, the problem of financing. "I spent 100 thousand from the family budget and I will not pull myself. To be money, it is necessary to raise money or sell, and I do not know how. Mass production requires a large team," Vladimir assured. Another problem is the test. If you can run even indoors to check their suitability for flights, then it is much more difficult with aircraft. Lightning weighs 5.

1 kg, and with the combat part - all 8 kg. Such a remedy can no longer run from the hand, you need a pneumatic catapult, which will cost another 100,000 UAH. Volodymyr Mussur is convinced that together with other craftsmen he will be able to improve the "lightning" design and make planes much better than the Russian manufacturer. Someone will tell you how to change their wings, someone will offer other components, and so on.

It is quite possible to make copies of "lightning" at home and transfer to the military just like FPV digters. Last year, "drones in the kitchen" became popular when civilians began to collect massive quadcopters, online instructions and specialized courses appeared. On the one hand, it is a great help for the army, and on the other, the fighters on the forefront receive a lot of marriage and are forced to refine themselves or even process the devices on their own.
