Houses attacked a rocket a cargo ship: in the crew were Ukrainians, wounded two sailors

To spread: The Yemeni Hutyvita fired on September 29 by a cargo ship under the Dutch flag in the Gulf of Aden near the Red Sea. Two sailors were injured, the crew was evacuated with a helicopter. After the attack of Hussites on the Minervagracht cargo ship, a fire was engaged, writes Associated Press on September 30 with reference to officials.

According to journalists, this incident was the most serious attack on the Ship in the Gulf of Aden, connecting with the Red Sea through the Babel-Mandebsk Strait between East Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. Houses did not take responsibility for the attack on Minervagracht, but the authors of the material noted that earlier the rebels threatened to fire vessels within their campaign against the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Sector.

Journalists recalled that Minervagracht had already experienced an unsuccessful attack earlier, September 23, and this time a rocket whose launch was seen in Yemen reached a goal. SPLIETHOFF, which owned the vessel, reported that the blow "caused the ship to significant damage". The helicopter evacuated 19 crew members, consisting of citizens of Philippines, Russia, Sri Lanka and Ukraine. Two sailors are injured: one is in a stable state, the other in a difficult one.

They were delivered for medical care to the African country. According to the European Navy, as of September 30, Minervagracht is "burning and drifting. " The French Military Center for Maritime Information, Cooperation and Awareness has accused of attacking the Hussite ship. The insurgents, at the time of publication of the news, have not yet taken responsibility for the attack.

Journalists noted that the Yemeni Hutivita attacked rockets and drones in solidarity with Palestinians in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict over 100 ships, many of whom had no contact with Israel at all. The fact that Minervagracht is also not related to Israel, reported in the United Naval Information Center under the leadership of the US Navy. The authors of the material recalled that the last registered attack of Hussites on a ship in the Gulf of Aden took place in August 2024.

Hussite attacks temporarily stopped during a short ceasefire. Later, on the orders of US President Donald Trump, they intensively struck them during the week until the US leader announced the ceasefire with the rebels. We will also remind, in July the Yemeni Hutivitsa attacked a cargo ship in the Red Sea. At the time of attack on board the Balker Eternity C, there were 25 people under the flag of Liberia. Six of them were saved - the fate of the rest remained unknown.
