Chinese are "leading" in the lists of those killed for Russia

To spread: from January 2024 to June 2025, the losses missing in the Russian army amounted to 6921 soldiers and officers. The largest loss among the units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was suffered by the 102nd Motorized Rifle Regiment, where citizens of China also disappeared.

Since information about losses in the Russian army is hidden, to find out at least some information, journalists and OSINT researchers study the register of hereditary affairs, or as an OSINT analyst with Nick Tatarigami, a missing person. He studied the losses of the 8th Army of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and made interesting conclusions.

It turned out that in a year and a half - from January 2024 to June 2025 the losses of missing were 6921 soldiers and officers. At the same time, the number of such cases increases sharply in 2025, almost doubled compared to last year, when Russia began active offensive actions in Donetsk region. The 8th Army, which was part of the Southern Military District, operated mainly in Donetsk, and recently its units were transferred to Pokrovsk to strengthen the 58th Army.

Among all units, the 102nd Motorized Rifle Regiment, which is a part of the 155th Motorized Similar Division, is leading, with losses that almost three times exceed the losses of other motorized rifle regiments. The 102nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation lost 1858 people. Next comes the 103rd Motorized Rifle Regiment with 806 missing missing.

Due to the fact that the number of a Russian motorized rifle regiment can reach approximately 2000 people, these figures of missing persons, combined with even theoretical data on the number of killed, wounded and deserters, suggest that the 102nd regiment could actually be completely destroyed at least three times. Tatarigami also notes that the largest age group is 31-40 years. The second largest age group is 41-50 years. Also full of soldiers aged 18-20 years.

Of the 6921 missing military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, 316 were identified as foreign citizens, which is just over 4. 5% of the total. Tatarigami estimates are among these foreigners, about 7% are Chinese - although citizenship is not explicitly indicated, but the missing reports show phonetically Chinese names. We will remind, in April the Ukrainian military captured two citizens of China who fought in the ranks of the Russian army.
