On the night of April 11 in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, the Michael's Mining and Processing Plant (IGZK) was attacked by drones. Local publications publish on the eyewitness video network, and in their telegram-channel, the governor of the region Roman Starovoit reports in their telegram.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation states that on the night of April 11, 12 Ukrainian drones over six regions of Russia were allegedly destroyed: the Mikhailov Mining and Processing Combine-one of the largest enterprises for the production and enrichment of iron ore in the post-Soviet space.

Since April 2023, the plant, as well as the Holding "Metaloinvest" has been listed in the sanctions, as well as the Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov, whose name is associated with these enterprises. The reason for the imposition of sanctions is responsibility for financing Russian aggression against Ukraine. At the beginning of March 2024, a fire occurred at the IGZK, in which the Russian authorities accused Ukraine.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, the forces of defense have recently been harmed by 12 Russian oil refineries with the help of UAV. According to British intelligence, this has led to the fact that 10% of the production capacity of Russian refineries has failed, NATO believes that Ukraine has been able to hit more than 15% of the capacity of these enterprises. Meanwhile, fuel production, including gasoline and diesel, fell into the Russian Federation by 12%.

However, the US leadership, including the Pentagon, urge Ukraine not to attack Russian refinery, calling these enterprises "civilian purposes". At the same time, the head of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry Gabrielus Landsbergis reminded allies of the Second World War and legitimate goals in Nazi Germany. We will remind, Focus wrote that the blows of Ukrainian drones on the refinery forced Russia to contact Kazakhstan to create a "extraordinary reserve" of 100 thousand tons of gasoline.
