According to the media, 60% of the population of Ukraine - 24 million people use the services of Kyivstar. However, the authors of the article believe that not all 24 million clients are left without communication, as many citizens of the country are in parallel with subscribers of other companies - Lifecell and Vodafone. At that time, 26 million clients (40% of the France's population) were without communication within 9 hours. They also mentioned the case of the Australian company Optus, which was cyberatized in 2022 and again in November this year.

The Canadian Rogers Communications, attacked in the summer of 2022, did not escape the hacker attack.
