According to him, for the most part, Ukrainian forces will face a lack of air defense systems of American production Patriot. However, as for other weapons systems, they have analogues whose value is even lower than US samples. "Weapons that cannot be replaced completely and quickly are Patriot. Everything else has analogues, moreover. Yes, yes, it is undoubtedly a big problem. But not a catastrophe," Rustamzade wrote on Facebook.

It should be noted that many Western experts expressed a similar opinion. For example, the Economist magazine in his publication identified the basic elements of military assistance that is difficult or impossible to replace in the short term. In short, the main problem for the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be the lack of US anti-aircraft missile complexes. The United States is the only country capable of producing these systems massively, capable of intercepting hypersonic and ballistic missiles.

If we take into account European analogues, for example, the French-Italian SAMP/T systems could theoretically replace Patriot, but they are not ready to reflect the most high-speed and hypersonic missiles, and new modifications will appear no earlier than 2026.
