Since the beginning of a full -scale invasion, more than a hundred cases have been recorded when the satellite took pictures of a particular territory, and in a few days this place was attacked by the Russian military. After shelling, the satellite again took pictures to fix the consequences. In a comment to The Atlantic, Kateryna Chernororenko said that this may indicate that the occupiers buy satellite images through intermediary companies.

"Russia is striking in the territory of Ukraine almost daily. Russia uses satellite data to search for goals and to check the results of blows," Chernnoroenko said. According to her, Western sanctions are in force, and the space intelligence capabilities of the Russian Federation are reduced. Therefore, the enemy can look for additional opportunities and buy space images through third -party companies, including Western companies.

She stressed that the ministry is ready to offer a mechanism that will not affect the development of the market and would be a solution to the situation. As a result, the Ministry of Defense processes international regulatory mechanisms and then proposes steps to counteract space intelligence in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
