Today it was possible to release 95 of our people from Russian captivity - the President's appeal

Dear Ukrainians, Ukrainians! Today, the tenth anniversary of the day when Russian invaders have destroyed a passenger plane in the Ukrainian sky - the MH17 flight. The Malaysian Boeing, with 298 people on board, 80 of them are children. Citizens of different countries from different parts of the world. The Netherlands, Malaysia, Australia, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Germany, Canada, Belgium, Philippines, New Zealand.

And during the passing time, it was possible to fully establish the circumstances of this crime: how it became possible, who provided it. And there is no doubt that the trial and in general, the work of international justice will necessarily lead to absolutely fair sentences for anyone who is guilty of this crime. And this is exactly what you need. No matter how much effort is required - the responsibility of all those who have brought this evil, because they are evil.

And the same applies to thousands of other Russian crimes of this war and this aggression itself - after all this, a reliable peace can only be based on a satisfied sense of justice in those who suffered from aggression.

And all in Ukraine who works for the sake of justice, everyone in the world, who helps us, including the Netherlands, who are largely leaders on the issue of justice - I am grateful to everyone who puts Russian evil in place and helps us not leave us not leave us Moscow feeling impunity.

The light and eternal memory of all whose lives were taken away by Russia! Today, our team, which is engaged in the search for Ukrainian prisoners and exchanges, has been able to release 95 of our people from Russian captivity. These are warriors of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, border guards. Most in today's exchange are ordinary and sergeants, seven - officers. Many - after serious injuries, one of the boys - with cancer. Everyone will receive the necessary help.

And it is important that among these guys is the one who was considered missing. We find out all the circumstances about every warrior, and it is happiness when they can find those who were the least hope. In total, we managed to return home from Russian captivity already 3405 people. We have to return everyone. We do everything for that. I thank everyone in the world who helps. I am grateful to the United Arab Emirates for their help in today's release. And a few more things.

We work to ensure that this week is truly effective in relations with our partners. I held a meeting with the Office and the Foreign Ministry today. The strong decisions of partners are needed to allow this war to the course before its fair completion. And I thank everyone who demonstrates the appropriate leadership. Honest leadership. And today I signed a decree that enforce the NSDC decision on the new maritime security strategy of Ukraine.

This document takes into account the security changes and innovations that we have provided, in particular, in the Black Sea, in the development of our forces. It is a modern strategy and implement it with our partners. I am going to discuss the details of this strategy with them in the near future.
