"The Single Tool of Impact": A pro -Russian Parliament MP wants "increased pressure on Zelensky"

To spread: Slovak politician and member of the European Parliament Milan Ugrik stated that it is necessary to persuade President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, not to the Kremlin head of Kremlin Vladimir Putin: according to him, the only way to achieve ceasefire is to "stop the supply of military assistance to Kiev". The pro -Russian politician said this in a comment for the Russian edition "Izvestia", which was published on May 14.

Ugrik called negotiations between Ukraine and Russia "difficult and delicate issues," emphasizing that there are a number of reasons for the benefit of diplomatic contacts between the hostile countries. However, the MP of the European Parliament claims that it is necessary to increase the pressure not on the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, but on Zelensky.

"I think that the heads of EU countries and European institutions should increase the pressure on Zelensky and persuade him to start peace talks," Ugrik said. Increasing the pressure of the Slovak politician sees that it is necessary to "stop military assistance to Ukraine. " However, the deputy does not hide the fact that European leaders refuse such actions.

"The only lever of influence can be the termination of financial and military assistance, which, unfortunately, many leaders refuse," - said Ugrik. According to him, the war has gone "too far", and now harms Ukraine, the European Union and Russia. It is worth noting that Ugrik is not the only representative of the official Slovakia occupying a pro -Russian position.

On May 5, the Pravda media reported that the political force of the Slovak Renaissance Movement initiated a referendum on the abolition of anti -Russian sanctions, and then stated that she was able to gather more than 400,000 votes. In March, the leader of the Slovak nationalists, Andrey Danko, stated that his country wanted to return money that Ukraine was supported as a support during the war with Russia.
