Assassination attempt on Zelenskyi: a man who helped the Russians organize an attack on the president will be tried in Poland
The suspect was detained by representatives of the Internal Security Agency of Poland on April 17, 2024 in the Lublin Voivodeship. After that, a search was carried out, during which ammunition was found in Pavel K. 's possession illegally. Then the man was arrested. The investigation revealed that the accused agreed to act for the benefit of the Russian special services, in particular the military intelligence of the Russian Federation, and also maintained contacts with the Russians.
According to the investigators, they were directly involved in Russian aggression against Ukraine. One of the tasks of the special services of the Russian Federation, on which Pavel K. worked, was the collection of information about the Ryashiv-Jasionka airport, in particular, its security system. He had to pass this data on to the Russians.
"These data could have been used by the Russian special services to prepare an attempt on the life of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi," the National Prosecutor's Office of Poland claims. The press service of the prosecutor's office also reported earlier that data on the suspect's alleged crime had been received from the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. The hearing in the case of Pavel K. will begin on November 25.
As the publication writes with reference to the statement of the spokesman of the District Court in Zamość, a technical meeting is planned first. After that, the first hearing will take place. It is worth noting that the indictment was handed over to the District Court in Warsaw on May 20. We will remind, on June 23, the publication "Glavkom" with reference to the statement of the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Malyuk, reported that a pensioner in Poland wanted to kill Zelenskyi.
