If the invaders undermine the dam of Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, Crimea will remain without water for years - Danilov

According to the NSDC Secretary, undermining will lead to a huge number of casualties among civilians, so the catastrophe will be forced to respond. If the occupiers dare to undermine the dam of Kakhovka hydroelectric power plants, then the issue of water supply of Crimea for Russia can be closed in the coming years: the peninsula will not be able to receive water from the Dnieper. This was stated on Channel 24 by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov.

"Another thing is that they can destroy the units that produced electricity for our country. We have information of all these things," he said. "If they are crazy and do so, there is some danger for some settlements. It will be a catastrophe of huge scale with a lot of human casualties. " The evacuation of the population declared by the occupiers, according to Danilov, will not help to protect such consequences, because there are not many who want to go somewhere in Siberia.

"Things should be called their names: this is deportation," the NSDC secretary emphasized, noting that such crimes must be fixed and convicted by all world institutions. At the same time, he believes that the hypothetical undermining the dam will have to respond even more stiffer than to the shelling of infrastructure, since the scale of the catastrophe will be incompatible.

We will remind, the occupying power of the Kherson region announced "planned destruction of the dam of Kakhovka hydroelectric power station". Analysts of the American Institute for War Study believe that Russians can strike on the dams of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station "under another flag" to blame Ukraine and complicate the promotion of the Armed Forces on the left bank of the Kherson region.
