In Saratov, after a series of explosions, a fire broke out in the area of ​​the local oil refinery. This was reported by monitoring channels. "Residents of Saratov and Engels report alarm sirens and air defense operations, several aerial targets have already been shot down," Telegram channels reported. The airport in Saratov has temporarily suspended operations against the background of the attack. Also, the "Carpet" plan was introduced at the airport in the neighboring Penza region of the Russian Federation. Soon, the network reported about a fire in the refinery area in Saratov.

According to OSINT channels, the ignition occurred in the area of ​​the AVT-6 installation at the refinery in Saratov. This is evidenced in particular by the footage that the analysts managed to geolocate. Official information was not available at the time of publication. The Russian authorities have not yet commented on the attack on Saratov.
