The Engels-2 military airfield of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation twice in 2024 attacked Ukrainian drones. The last shelling using aircraft based on this airport took place in mid -February. The day before the UAV attack on the military airfield "Engels" of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation there were 11 aircraft of different types. Among them are nine bombers that Russians use to launch missiles X-55 in Ukrainians.

Satellite photos, which can be seen by Russian aircraft, were posted in the Telegram channel of the Project "Schemes" on "Radio Liberty". Scheme reporters received satellite photos made on March 19. The satellite took a photo of points with coordinates 51 ° 28 ′ 52 ″ N, 46 ° 12 ′ 27 ″ E and 51 ° 28 ′ 58 ″ N, 46 ° 12 ′ 28 ″ E. Shortly before the drones attack on the aerodrome there were nine bombers.

Of these, six Tu-95 aircraft (everyone is able to launch four to eight rockets at a time) and three Tu-160 planes (everyone is able to run 12 missiles X-55). It should be noted that the loud sounds at the Angerda-2 aerodrome east of Saratov (700 km from Ukraine) reported Roszma on the night of March 19. The Russians published videos from the scene that visible outbreaks and sounds of drone flight and explosions. The Russian Armed Forces stated that all the drones were knocked down.

However, locals published personnel where there was a fire in the airfield. Later, Roszma published new stories of witnesses to an emergency event. In particular, they claimed that they heard from two to four explosions. The explosions were so powerful that windows trembled in the apartments, - said citizens. In the morning of March 20, representatives of the GUR Defrons reported that indeed - Ukrainian UAVs attacked the military object of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

They assured that all the tasks were completed. The previous attack at the Engels airfield took place on January 10 - earlier reported Focus. The locals noticed at least two drones that were heading in the direction of the airport. At that time, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation also reported that it reflected the attack by 100%.

The last massive strike of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation using the winged aviation missiles X-101/X-55/X-555 took place on February 15,-said in the Air Command of the Armed Forces.
