Recently, Forbes said that Russia allegedly moved 500 tanks to Kupyansk, up to 600 combat vehicles, hundreds of howitzers and deploy 40,000 servicemen.

According to the publication, Kupyansk's fascination is the main purpose of the Russian forces. But according to Kovalenko, Forbes statistics are slightly diverged with the real state of affairs. "It is necessary for the West to understand the seriousness of the situation, especially those who make decisions for help. And it is desirable that they be remembered there about American interests too," Kovalenko added.

He stressed that it is unrealistic to assume that all problems will be resolved by December 2024, especially if Ukraine is in a more vulnerable position. "On the contrary, then you will have to give even more weapons and quickly, because Putin will never go to the conditions. His goal is the destruction of Ukraine. And to make him to go to some conditions is possible only by force, not by weakness," - said the head of the CPD.

Earlier, Focus wrote that, according to the Major General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmitry Marchenko, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation could repeat a hike to the capital and urged to prepare for defense. Military analysts believe that the likelihood of such a scenario in the near future is minimal, and political scientists see the implication for the need to increase mobilization.
