The Armed Forces will receive more than 150 landing robots Themis: what is known about them (video)

Extend: The European company Milrem Robotics will supply more than 150 TheMIS lanes to Ukraine as part of a defense support package funded by the Netherlands. Milrem Robotics Netherlands will manage the production and supply in partnership with VDL Defentec, which creates a special line of final assembly of theMis robots. About it writes Defense Industry Europe. The new party of Themis will complement 15 apparatus of similar ground drones that are already used by Ukraine's defense forces.

They were first deployed in our country for logistics and auxiliary missions in 2022. Milrem Robotics will also conduct comprehensive training for Ukrainian operators and staff to ensure efficient use and support during robots. "Themis platform has already demonstrated its value in combat conditions, and we believe that this contribution will significantly strengthen Ukraine's defense capability," said Koldar Viaars, CEO of Milrem Robotics.

Themis land robot is designed to support sand troops, logistics, intelligence and combat operations. The platform has already been adopted by 19 countries, which makes it the most common unmanned vehicle in its class in the world. According to Milrem Robotics, in Ukraine, themis systems are destroying mines, clearing routes, transporting cargoes for the military, and evacuating the wounded from the battlefield. Small size and low height of drones complicate their detection by the enemy.

"The evacuation of the wounded and the demining of routes - two labor -intensive activities, during which the soldiers who perform these tasks immediately become targets for the enemy. UGV, on the other hand, can be operated at a distance, keeping soldiers in a safe place," said Yuri Pajust. We will remind, Ukrainian engineers armed the ground drone Themis with a grenade launcher "Storm" from Frontline. Focus also reported that Milrem Robotics presented a version of the NGE Hunter Sp.
