Gas is no longer an assistant: the Russian Federation counts the losses because of the refusal of Europe to be Russian energy
"In the first half of 2023, Russian gas supply to the European Union fell by more than 75% (or 36 billion cubic meters)," the message reads. It is noted that natural gas production in Russia will decrease by 62 billion cubic meters compared to last year: from 672 billion cubic meters in 2022 to 610 billion cubic meters this year.
According to analysts, in the pre -war 2021, Russia produced 762 billion cubic meters, and therefore that in the total two years of the Russian Federation will lose 152 billion cubic meters of natural gas production.
It should be noted that in March, the Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IAA) Fatich Barol said that international sanctions against exports of Russian energy have reached two goals - stabilization of oil markets and reducing Moscow's income from oil and gas exports. By the way, after the loss of the European market for the sale of its energy resources of the Russian Federation, in 2023 will earn only $ 30 billion in gas sales.
