The man escaped from the Armed Forces unit through quarrels with commander and drugs: which punishment was chosen by court

The man volunteered for the war, and a year later he received a verdict on drugs. The commander did not like the problematic behavior of the military, so he decided to escape from the part. The Kyiv Court has declared a sentence in the case of a serviceman who left part of his troubles with prohibited substances and alcohol. For some time he worked unofficially, then he was detained by law enforcement. The court verdict was written on the military on the TSN portal.

The portal drew attention to the sentence of October 16, 2024 in the case №1-KP/755/1501/24, which was considered by the Dniprovsky District Court of Kyiv. The case concerns a serviceman who first "earned" a fine of UAH 17,000 during the service in the army under the amount of drugs and then left the place of depiction. The court found the man guilty under Part 5 of Art. 407 of the Criminal Code - Escape from part to a term for more than three days in war conditions.

In the case file, published in the Register of Judgments, you can see the details of the crime. It turns out that in February 2022, when the invasion of the Russian Federation began in February 2022, he volunteered in Terrobron, and in April-mobilized to the Armed Forces and served as a filling driver. During his service against him, they opened criminal proceedings under an article on drugs: found guilty and punished - a fine of 17 thousand UAH was imposed.

The military did not pay these funds because he had no money, and continued to drink and use drugs, it is said in materials. Due to problematic behavior, there were problems with the commander, so as a result, May 16, 2023 fled. Subsequently, law enforcement officers were detained, and the man even wrote an explanation, the content of which did not remember.

In addition, there was an appeal to the Military Medical Commission (VLK), but doctors did not give grounds for dismissal from the army, the military explained. The judge considered the case file and found the person guilty under Part 5 of Art. 407 of the Criminal Code. The sentence is five years in prison. In addition, a man must still pay a fine he was awarded in a drug case.
