The manufacturer of the Ruta missile showed the successful operation of the air defense system with anti-aircraft drones in Spain
Share: European company Destinus has tested its anti-drone system, called Hornet, during military exercises in Spain. During the exercise, the Hornet successfully intercepted all three targets, demonstrating its ability to effectively respond to air threats in difficult operational environments. The Infodefense portal writes about it. As noted in the publication, Hornet is an autonomous system designed to neutralize swarms of kamikaze drones, reconnaissance aircraft and unguided missiles.
The complex includes launchers for anti-aircraft UAVs and the latest sensors, which are used to identify and track the target. The Hornet test was watched by more than 70 Spanish military personnel, as well as representatives of NATO member states and the European Defense Agency. In the future, the system can be integrated into wider defense networks. Defense Express portal experts also suggested that the Hornet system may be secretly tested or already in use in Ukraine.
