France has successfully tested a new Aster B1nt anti -aircraft missile: what it is capable of (photo)

Extend: Eurosam manufacturer in France protested a new Aster B1 New Technology rocket (Aster B1NN), demonstrating its ability to intercept for long-range targets. These weapons are capable of covering the full range of threats, including low -domestic and hypersonic missiles.

The European Eurosam weapons manufacturer reported on the official website that the combat tests were successfully held on July 30 in the presence of representatives of the three FSAF-PAMS Tripartite States, which is implemented under the management of the European Defense Agency OCCAR: France, Italy and the United Kingdom. The first successful launch took place in October 2024. The second test confirmed the ability of the rocket to intercept targets at a range of 150 km and at a higher height.

It will allow the SAMP/T NG system to intercept more complex air and missile goals with greater maneuverability, secrecy and speed. Upon completion of all tests, the new anti-aircraft missile of Aster B1Nnt will be deposited with the air-space forces of France, the Italian army and the Air Force of Italy. It will also be integrated into other naval programs, including the modernization of the Horizon Horizon frigates.

The new anti -aircraft missile Aster B1Nnt is able to withstand different types of goals, from high -domain to hypersonic. It provides an expanded area of air defense and has improved intercepting opportunities to counteract new threats. The manufacturer reports that these weapons use the advanced technology on the basis of self -introduction and new interception algorithms.

It is stated that it will be able to knock down tactical ballistic missiles of low and medium range, low -domain and hypersonic missiles. According to the French weapons agency, this ammunition will be able to strike targets at an altitude of up to 25,000 meters within a radius of up to 150 km, writes the Militarist portal. The novelty is expected to destroy medium -range ballistic missiles and hypersonic targets that move at a speed of more than 6,000 km/h.

We will remind, on July 31 the French media wrote that in Europe accelerated the production of Aster missiles under the SAMP/T for the Armed Forces of Ukraine after pressure on the manufacturers, in particular, by the Minister of Armed Forces of France, Sebastian Lecorton.
