In Ukraine, the assets of the Russian oligarch from Putin's surroundings were arrested for over UAH 2 billion

According to the SBU, Oleg Deripaska -controlled by the European company wanted to transfer tons of bauxite and alumina from the plant in Nikolaev Russian enterprises of the oligarch for aluminum production. The court seized a large batch of industrial products and raw materials owned by the Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska. It is almost 500,000 tons of bauxite and alumina, which were produced in Ukraine before a full -scale invasion.

The raw material was stored in the warehouses of the Nikolaev alumina plant, which previously belonged to the Deripaska. This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine on Wednesday, January 29. The total cost of arrested assets exceeds UAH 2. 11 billion. Alumina and bauxite are the key components for aluminum production that was supplied to the Russian enterprises of the oligarch, including the Rusal plant.

According to investigators, the actual owner of the product was controlled by the company, registered in one of the EU countries. It was she who was a formal customer of raw materials to further send it to Russian enterprises. At the beginning of 2023, Ukrainian law enforcement officers exposed equipment and blocked the export of raw materials from Ukraine. The SBU noted that Oleg Deripaska is part of Vladimir Putin's immediate surroundings.

Its factories are engaged in the production of components for military equipment of the Russian Federation, in particular for Iskander ballistic missiles, battle drones and radar systems. Ukrainian investigators informed the Russian in absentia of suspicion of several articles, including for financing the war against Ukraine. In addition, according to the materials of the SBU, all Deripaska enterprises in the territory of Ukraine were nationalized.
