Ukrainian "knife" or Russian "relict": which dynamic protection is more efficient (video)

According to expert Mykola Salamakh, "Relict" is not a new product-this is only another scheme of installation of "Contact-5" elements. However, it is similar in efficiency with a knife. To enhance the protection of tanks that are in the Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation install elements of dynamic protection, which should offset the effect of cumulative and other types of ammunition.

Mykola Salamakha spoke about the difference between explosive dynamic protection "knife" of Ukrainian development, "contact-1" and "contact-5" of Soviet/Russian and "relict" of Russian development.

According to Salamakh, the Ukrainian "knife" is guaranteed to remove up to 70% of the capacity of the cumulative jet. "Contact-1"-removes up to 20%, "Contact-5"-up to 50%. The Russian "relict" is not in fact a new development, according to the Russian Federation. This type of DZ differs in another way to "contact-5". In terms of efficiency, it is similar to the Ukrainian "knife" - about 70% of the capacity of the cumulative jet.

But if you use the "knife" in the Duplet design, then no "contact" and "relict" will be compared. The expert also called data for armor-piercing shells, contact-1 will be ineffective, contact-5-15-20%, "than"-up to 50%. Photos of trials are open.
