The Russian Government suggested Putin to terminate treaties with the Council of Europe (document)

The Government of the Russian Federation suggested President Vladimir Putin to terminate the Council of Europe treaties on Russia. The corresponding document was published on December 30 on the portal of legal information of the Russian Federation.

The document was signed on December 29 by the current Prime Minister of the country Mikhail Mishustin. "To approve and submit to the President of the Russian Federation to submit to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly a proposal to terminate the Russian Federation of international treaties of the Council of Europe," the text of the resolution reads.

On March 10, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation reported that Russia will no longer participate in the work of the Council of Europe, because "it does not intend to put up with the subversive actions of the collective event.
