Increases the chances of survival during rocket attacks: in Kiev created a "capsule of life" (photo)
Thus, in Kiev, the developer and manufacturer of woodworking equipment Sergey Zakharin began the manufacture of its own modular design "Capsula of Life", which is intended to save from the consequences of rocket firing. The idea of making such a shelter in Sergiy appeared in 2015, but then he "hid in a drawer" and practically put it into life only now.
According to his ideas, the design had to serve as shelter during an earthquake and as a safe in case the family has to go somewhere and leave valuable things. "I thought about how in today's realities a person can save himself during rocket shelling, without leaving his own home, how to bring this design, in fact, to the apartment of a multi -storey building," he recalls. Cover "Capsula Life" is a steel assembly.
It is designed for accommodation in private homes and apartments, as well as in office areas where it is not possible to install a monolithic structure. The shelter is collected from steel elements that are connected by bolts. The "capsule of life" is mounted directly indoors and attached to the bearing wall. The developer now has two types of shelters - 3 and 6 people.
The shelter is designed to withstand 99% of fragments and small fragments (up to 5 mm) as a result of the fall or rupture of any ammunition. The Capsule of Life is not designed for direct hit and does not miss mobile connection. The "capsule" is purely as a metal structure, and the customer can cover it in the middle with mineral wool and drywall, which does not burn that in the event of a fall, the capsule will be able to light the blows for humans.
According to the developer's calculations, the capsule has a fire resistance for up to 30 minutes, but it is advisable to keep the fire extinguisher, respirators and oxygen cans in the middle. The design has emergency hatches on three sides, which can be used if the door is blocked. Sergei tested the "Life capsule" twice. For the first time, a concrete plate of 1100 kg was dropped on the structure with a height of 9. 3 m. At the time of the fall, Sergei was inside the capsule.
"What I felt there, Inside? But nothing, it was slaughtered and everything. I rose a pillar. There was no fear, because I was sure of the strength of my development," the man says. During the second test, 43 tons of weight were placed on the capsule, and the design was only seated by 15 millimeters, and when the plates were removed - it was aligned to its original state. Also then there was a lock of the door, but Sergei was able to open them on their own.
The first capsule in Sergiy has already been ordered and installed by a family living in a private house near Boyarka. "I compare this capsule with the safety belt in the car. That is, it may be 100% and will not save, but will accurately increase the chances of survival," says Eugene, who installed the "capsule". According to him, they and his wife and son began to sleep much better. Sergei has a small production and works with two assistants. The capsule sells for 70 000 UAH.
