According to Romania's Defense Minister Angel Tilvar, NATO significantly increased its presence in the Black Sea region. The US intends to send an additional number of combat aircraft to Romania after the fall of Russian drones in the Romanian territory. It is reported that the head of the Ministry of Defense of Romania Angel Tilvar held a meeting with the US Ambassador to Romania Kathleen Kavlets, which discussed security issues and cooperation between Washington and Bucharest. Romanian Minister confirmed the statement of NATO Secretary General that the presence of an alliance in the Black Sea region was significantly increased. According to him, additional measures were taken near the borders, and the monitoring and protection of airspace were strengthened. "For us, the safety of our citizens is of paramount importance, especially residents of settlements near the brutal attacks of the Russian Federation on Ukrainian Civil Ports," Tillvar said.

For her part, the American diplomat said that Washington was concerned about the situation in the Black Sea region in connection with the strikes of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the Ukrainian port infrastructure on the Danube.
