The Armed Forces of the Armed Forces received 16 Slovak 155-mm howitzna Zuzana 2: what is known about them-the media

The production of Slovak installations was financed by Germany, Denmark and Norway. During the full -scale war, Bratislava transferred more than 20 such SAUs to Ukraine. The Ukrainian army is now equipped with 16 units of 155 mm of the wheel self-propelled howan Zuzana 2 caliber 155 mm. This was reported on January 4 by Army Recognition Military Viewers. The agreement on the supply of this equipment was signed during the 2023 summit between the Presidents of Slovakia and Ukraine.

The Slovak Haubitsa Zuzana 2, which is a modernized version of the previous 45 mm caliber model, is equipped with a new 155mm 52-caliber gun and has improved firing capabilities, including the function of simultaneous volley fire (MRSI). This self -propelled howitzer, built on the basis of 8x8 Tatra trucks, is provided with an automated charging system capable of producing up to five shots per minute in automatic mode and up to two shots per minute in manual mode.

It has a high maneuverability and fire power, having a maximum shooting range up to 41. 5 km, provided that NATO artillery ammunition is used. On August 1, 2023 it became known that Slovakia handed over to Ukraine the first two howitzers Zuzana. According to the Prime Minister of Slovakia Ludovit Odor, the production of SAU was financed by Denmark, Norway and Germany. It should be noted that these are not the first supplies of Zuzana to Ukraine.
