Lowcoster Wizz Air told what happened to their planes during the war in Ukraine

According to the press service of the Hungarian airline, there are three out of four aircraft in Kiev. At the same time, two of them removed the engines. At the time of the full -scale invasion of Rossi, four aircraft of the Hungarian airline Wizz Air were in Ukraine, but only one of them was successfully evacuated from Lviv. About it reports Avianews. So, at the end of February 2022, there were four passenger planes Airbus A320 in Ukraine on the basis of Wizz Air.

According to the information provided by Lowcoster, none of these aircraft were injured during the conflict. Recently, Wizz Air Airlines Jozef Varada in an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera said that the air carrier managed to evacuate one of the aircraft from Lviv, while only one of the three aircraft in Kiev remained in good condition. The airline explained that two of these aircraft were shot and sent to Poland. However, the third aircraft in Kiev is still with engines.

"Wizz Air can re -install these engines on these planes and fly to them again after carrying out the necessary technical checks," the airline said. At the beginning of the war, one of the company airliners was at the Lviv Airport. On September 13, 2022, Lowcaster successfully carried out his evacuation to Poland, where the aircraft was delivered to the base of the air carrier in Katowice. During the flight over Ukraine, the pilots were switched off by signal transmitter.
