The incident occurred on the eve of a massive blow to the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation. On the night of September 12 to September 13, the police of the temporarily occupied Sevastopol received information that saboteurs were operating in the city. This was reported in the local Telegram channel "Typical Crimea".

It was noted that in Sevastopol there was a shootout. The conflict killed four people, including three military and police.
