At the same time, American analysts provide information from Russian sources that the Russian troops advanced north of the middle and 500 meters within the Shandrivolov, Donetsk region (both northwest of the estuary). There are no confirmation of these statements in ISW. The main focus of the efforts of the Russians in this direction: to capture the whole Donetsk region, and possibly move to the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The Armed Forces General Staff has not been commented on the Liman direction separately, but noted that in total 105 combat clashes took place. In the Liman direction, the enemy attacked 13 times, trying to advance in the areas of settlements Novovodane, Karpivka, Ridkoodub and Thor.
