The Russian Federation is trying to attack Kupyansk from the failures in Bakhmut: ISW analyst (map)

According to experts, the Armed Forces continue to progress in many areas of the front. It was also possible to establish complete fire control over the settlement of the Klishchiyivka in Donetsk region. The counter -offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues and our troops achieve new successes in the Bakhmut area, as well as at the border of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhya regions, but the Russians have chosen a new tactic.

This is stated in the report of the American Institute of War Study (ISW) of July 17. Analysts say that Russian invaders were active on the lines on the Kupyansk-Svatovo line and managed to achieve tactical success in this area. This was confirmed by the Deputy Minister of Defense Anna Malyar, noting that the promotion began at the end of Last week from Masyutivka (13 km northeast of Kupyansk) and Novoselivsky (14 km northwest of Svatove). They try to cross the Armed Forces across the Oskil River.

One of the Russian bloggers, according to analysts, reports advanced one or two kilometers in this direction. The ISW also noted that the Russian command had led to the border of Kharkiv and Luhansk regions throughout the month to use Ukraine's concentration on another front.

"Storm-Z" units "are largely ineffective in more than a small tactical breakthrough, and the beginning of Russian offensive operations on this front is unlikely to capture a large territory because of the composition of the forces and power of the Russian group in this area," the message reads. Also on July 17, Russian troops tried to attack the positions of the Armed Forces near Kremlin, but in the General Staff immediately noted that it was unsuccessful. Hot battles continue regularly.

Hot battles are constantly standing around Bakhmut, but here the Russian military failed to achieve any success that could be confirmed. The Ukrainian General Staff wrote that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation tried to carry out land attacks, but they were unsuccessful.

The following areas are: near Orikhovo-Vasilivka (11 km northwest of Bakhmut), Grigorivka (8 km northwest of Bakhmut), Ivanivsky (6 km west of Bakhmut), Kurdyumivka (12 km southwest of Bakhmut) and Bogdanivka (5 km northwest of Bakhmut). By the way, according to one of the Russian "troops", closer to the city is also levied reserves to restore positions that have already been lost.

Also, heavy fights continue under the tick, where Chechen troops Ramzan Kadyrov arrived recently, and they interfere with the Armed Forces in advance. Deputy Minister of Defense Anna Malyar reported the promotion in unspecified places in southern Bakhmut.

At the same time, the commander of the Wagner PEC with the call sign "Lotus" in one of his interviews argued that Ukrainian troops seized the stronghold north of the mite and installed fire over the settlement, and now the Armed Forces are trying to regain control of Yakovlivka, which will block the lines 'Soledar. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continued ground attacks along the Avdiivka-Donetsk line. The General Staff noted that this was nothing for them.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continued to promote in the Donetsk-Zaporozhya administrative border and succeeds around the outskirts of Staromayorsky, but the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation did not leave attempts to regain lost positions. Currently, control of the village is still in the Russians, but one of the "military" of the Russian Federation notes that fighting is ongoing in the vicinity.

The counter -offensive also lasts in the Berdyansk direction, in particular south of the Great Novosilka in the Makarivka, Staromaorsky and Novodarivka area, which Anna Malyar wrote. In the area of the Swing Russians, the lost positions were likely to be returned. By the way, the pace of fighting on this section of the front has declined, and Ukrainian troops are increasingly operating in small sabotage and intelligence groups.
