The military stressed that it is important that the F-16 does not lose Russian aircraft by tactical and technical characteristics. According to him, Ukraine needs modern fighters that will be able to win the preference in the air. "A multi-purpose F-16 aircraft can strike on ground, surface and air purposes, plus protecting the state inside from rockets and drones," Ignat said. He noted that the planes would solve a number of tasks.

The Air Force spokesman is convinced that the F-16 can significantly affect the war. "See how many operated airboms are launched by the enemy. With the help of aviation complexes, as the F-16, we will be able to stop what Russia is doing. Namely, to drive Russian aviation as far as possible and cover our terrestrial troops from the air," Ignat added.
