Consequences of the Russian night attack on Kyiv: 3 dead and 29 injured, including 7 children (video)
As a result of the impact, windows from the first to the ninth floor were broken. A message was also received about hitting a high-rise building in the Obolon district. Rescuers did not find a fire at this location. "Now it is confirmed: three people were killed (a 19-year-old girl and her 46-year-old mother, another body needs to be identified), 29 were injured (including seven children)," the State Emergency Service said.
Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko provided slightly different data on the number of injured children. "There are already 29 victims. Six of them are children. The youngest is 4 years old," the mayor said. Klitschko also clarified that there are 7 injured people in the city's hospitals, including two children. The rest of the victims receive treatment on an outpatient basis. More than 100 rescuers and police officers are working at the affected areas.
Dozens of units of engineering equipment were involved to eliminate the consequences of the attack. "The disassembly of structures in one of the buildings in the Desnyan district is ongoing. There, as a result of an enemy attack, the facade and the ceiling between the 6th and 8th floors were damaged," Vitaliy Klitschko added. Psychologists of the State Emergency Service and the National Police of Ukraine are working with the victims at the scene.
Almost 150 people have already received the necessary psychological help. Specialized police and rescue headquarters are deployed at the locations. There, they accept applications from victims and provide advice on further actions. As Focus reported, on the night of October 26, the Russian army attacked Kyiv with Shahed-type attack drones, as a result of which residential buildings were damaged in the capital and dozens of victims were injured.
