Iran scares Israel with the latest ballistic missile "Horremshehr": what is known about it (video)
This was reported on July 18 by the Propaganda Tasnim Agency. And on June 19, the Iranian Fars News agency released the footage of launching another, more powerful, Horremshshr-4 BSD, which was adopted by the corps of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution (Quir) in May 2023. Meanwhile, the place and date of shooting of this rocket is unknown.
It is not excluded that these are just propaganda personnel, which may indicate that Iran intends to intimidate his opponent by demonstrating the latest sample of his rocket weapons. The development of the Horremshr-4 BSD (or "Habar") was part of the wider program of modernization of the KSIR armed forces aimed at increasing the mobility, accuracy and ability to damage Iran missile systems.
There is little information about the capabilities of the rockets in open sources, but according to the Iranian military, the new complex was created with the maximum use of the components of the previous model "Horremshehr", at the same time it received an advanced control system, a new combat equipment and the possibility of maneuvering of the combat block outside the atmosphere.
Horremshshr-4 retains the overall architecture of the line: it is a mobile complex with a towing launch installation on a three-angle trailer and a command point. Thanks to the use of automobile tractors, the complex must have mobility. The construction of the housing involves one or two degrees. In this case, the combat part of the rocket received a separate motor installation, probably with the possibility of maneuver in the out -of -atmospheric region.
The guidance is carried out by inertial navigation, with possible adjustment in the late sections of the trajectory. The rocket can be equipped with both ordinary and nuclear warheads. In addition, the Quir Command has stated the possibility of using the cassette combat unit - according to them, one rocket can hit up to 80 goals. This does not only strategic but also potentially tactical weapons.
