After the adoption of the relevant law of Ukraine, more than 7 thousand soldiers returned to the Defense Forces, who first left unauthorized units. This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation on Telegram.

It is noted that 4 thousand 396 persons have already been officially renewed in military service, the rest is renewed and criminal proceedings are closed. "This figure is increasing every day, as the Verkhovna Rada has extended the term of voluntary return to the service of servicemen who left part of the military, until March 1, 2025," the publication reads.

In accordance with the law, which came into force at the end of November 2024, servicemen who left military units may return to their brothers and continue their service without conflicts with the law. "The commander of the military, no later than 72 hours from the date of arrival of the military, continues the contract or service, and restores the payment of cash, food, material and other types of security," the DBR explained. Servicemen are also renewed for privileges and social guarantees.

Among other things, the military unit commander undertakes to inform the arrival of the military and the continuation of the pre -trial investigation body and the military service. After that, the procedure of closing the case of a fighter begins. We will remind that on the eve, on January 9, the Verkhovna Rada extended the term of voluntary return to service after the HSC until March 1, 2025.
