Aluminum for rockets and drones of the Russian Federation: Ukraine nationalized the assets

To spread: in Ukraine nationalized the assets of Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska close to President Vladimir Putin. Resources were intended for military plants in the Russian Federation, which produce missiles, drones and radar systems. This was reported in the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

The special service states that according to its materials, the High Anti -Corruption Court satisfied the claim of the Ministry of Justice on the recovery of products and raw materials that the head of Rusal company was owned by Ukraine. It is more than 550 thousand tons of bauxite and alumina made in Ukraine before the full -scale war. Resources belonged to him through a controlled company registered in one of the EU countries.

All this was stored in the warehouses of the Nikolaev alumina plant, which belonged to the Deripaska. The products were used by the oligarch plants in the Russian Federation for aluminum smelting, from which they produce accessories for ballistic missiles, shock drones and radar systems. At the beginning of 2023, Ukrainian law enforcement officers exposed the scheme and blocked the sending of this raw material.

The SBU investigators informed the oligarch in absentia of suspicion of several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, in particular for financing the military aggression of the Russian Federation. The SBU was reminded that Deripaska is close to Putin and is one of the main sponsors of Russia's war with Ukraine. Recall that the former FBI employee Charles McGonigal was found guilty of conspiracy in favor of Moscow. He wanted to help the Deripas to avoid US sanctions.
