Ukrainian military showed the latest Russian willow MANA: A weapon overview (photo)

The published photos show the elements of the complex, including various details of the 9M336 missile. Its main difference is the use of a multi -spectral optical seeker, which significantly increases the accuracy of goals in complex obstacles. Ukrainian troops captured one of the most modern Russian portable air defense complexes - 9k333 "Willow" - and published a series of photos of these weapons, which was produced in 2020.

As reported on October 20 at Defense Blog, it is a significant event for defense forces, since the latest MAZRC has a number of interesting technological solutions. The material states that the 9K333 willow anti-aircraft missile complex, known as NATO as SA-25, is one of the most modern means of air defense, which are in service with Russian Land Forces. MSR is a new generation of portable anti -aircraft systems that have been replaced by the ILA complex.

The main difference between new weapons is the use of a multi -spectral optical seeker, which significantly increases the accuracy of goals in complex obstacles. The 9M336 missile search engine works in three spectra: ultraviolet, infrared and visible. This makes the rocket more resistant to various counteraction products, including lighting rockets and infrared traps, which increases the chances of leaking goals flying low, such as planes, helicopters and even winged rockets.

One of the key characteristics of the system is its ability to work effectively in conditions saturated with infrared counteraction. This gives the MAZRC significant advantages over the previous air defense systems such as "Ila". According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, "willow" is able to intercept aircraft and inconspicuous goals at altitudes from 10 m to 4. 5 km and at distances from 500 m to 6. 5 km.

The complex includes not only rockets and starting devices, but also the means of recognition "your own - alien", modules of intelligence, control and detection of air goals. The automated control system (ACS) "Willow" can detect both single and group air goals, defining their parameters and distributing them between anti -aircraft calculations. The deployment time of the complex is only eight seconds, which allows you to respond promptly to threats.

The capture of the 9M336 rocket, the results of the observers, can provide the Ukrainian military and allies with valuable information about Russian advanced air defense technologies. Of particular interest is the head of self -esteem, which is able to track thermal signatures, even in the presence of obstacles. And studying this technology can help develop more effective means of protection and counteraction to Russian anti -aircraft systems.
