Russian Mig-31 approached Tallinn, breaking the air space of Estonia-Politico
According to Politico, Russian heavy fighters-interceptors capable of carrying aerobalist missiles X-47M2 "dagger", headed in the direction of Tallinn and were in the Estonian airspace for about 12 minutes. The Estonian side caused a temporary attorney for Russia in Tallinn. Foreign Minister Margus Tahkn said that this year Russia has been breaking the air space of Estonia four times, and the current invasion of three fighters is unprecedentedly aggressive.
He stressed the need to rapidly strengthen the political and economic pressure on the Kremlin. In addition, the NATO official page on the social network X reported that today Russian aircraft have broken Estonia's airspace. The Alliance immediately reacted and intercepted Russian fighters. NATO noted that this incident is another example of Russia's reckless behavior and at the same time demonstrates the Alliance's ability to respond quickly.
The EU Cala Callas, Head of Diplomacy, also responded to the violation of Estonia's airspace. In her report to X, she noted that today's invasion of Russian military aircraft is an extremely dangerous provocation. Callas stressed that this is the third similar violation of the EU airspace in a few days and that such actions only exacerbate tension in the region. The EU is completely solidarity with Estonia, and it cooperates closely with the country's government to respond to threat.
"We will continue to support our Member States in strengthening their defense through European resources. Putin tests the determination of the West, and we should not show weakness," Kai Callas emphasized. We will remind that on September 13 in Poland and Romania there was air anxiety. It is noted that these actions were caused by a threat to Russian drones that appear over the territory of Ukraine near the borders of the countries.
