The updated radar station can track up to 250 targets at a distance of up to 350 km, which will allow the Armed Forces to knock down more enemy rockets and drones. System Electronic Export Company has modernized the P-18 radar station, created decades ago. This is stated in a message on the page of the National Association of Defense Industry Enterprises of Ukraine on Facebook, which was published on Wednesday, October 18.

The updated station, called P-18C, has modern systems of life support, power supply and antenna lifting. The P-18C onboard equipment allows the station to operate remotely. The main tasks for the modernized station are to automatically detect goals, determine coordinates and transmit radar data to users. The P-18C has a range of target detection up to 350 kilometers and can be accompanied by up to 250 targets at the same time. Its service life is 60 thousand hours.

The station uses modern Linux software, expands the frequency range to 140-180 MHz and allows the use of remote jobs at a distance of up to 500 meters. All equipment is placed on one chassis, which provides its ergonomics and survivability in combat. The updated P-18C can significantly enhance air defense due to its improved ability to detect and transmit air purposes.
