Bulsae PTRK in Ukraine: Supply DPRK Weapons to the Russians threatens serious escalation - Forbes

In South Korea, Russia and DPRK agreements were criticized in the field of security and declared a possible revision of the ban on weapons supply to Ukraine. On Tuesday, a photo with the North Korean anti-tank complex (PTRC) BULSAE-4, which was recorded by Ukrainian air intelligence in Kharkiv region, appeared on the network.

Commenting on the event, Forbes observers noted that if the DPRK really supplies such weapons, then Pyongyang helps Moscow one of the biggest problems in the battlefield - a lack of special purpose armored vehicles. The authors of the material write that judging by everything, closer military ties between Russia and North Korea begin to influence the course of hostilities.

This was preceded by the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Pyongyan, where he met with the North Korean leader Kim Cenn. The result of the visit was the signing of the defense pact between Russia and North Korea. Six weeks later, there was evidence that North Korean military equipment was involved in hostilities in Ukraine, which indicates a serious escalation.

The details of the June Security Pact between Russia and the DPRK are unknown, but it is likely that observers are that its conditions include significant supply of North Korean production equipment. This would be logical for the Russian Federation, which is difficult to create new ones or the removal of long -term storage of enough combat vehicles.

If the Russian military really receive North Korean machines, it may include other types of equipment such as modern tanks and armored personnel carriers. Particularly acute, the Russian army requires such combat units against the background of monthly losses of about 600 units. "So do not be surprised if you see the former Korean tanks Pokpung-Ho and the M2010 BTR on the Russian side of the front line in Ukraine," the newspaper writes.

North Korea's support for Russian military action can change Seoul's position. The fact is that South Korea National Security Advisor Chan Hozhin has already criticized the Covenant between Putin and Kim Jong In and declared a possible revision of the ban on the supply of weapons to Ukraine. His words are weight in the context that South Korea produces some of the best weapons in the world, and their supply can significantly affect the conflict.

Thus, cooperation between Russia and North Korea in the military sphere is already beginning to have a real impact on combat in Ukraine, and possible actions by South Korea can change the balance of forces in the region. Earlier, we wrote that Bulsae-4 is a unique DPRK machine based on the chassis of the North Korean version of the Russian BTR-80-M-2010.

The main means of lesions is Bulsae-4 NLOS missiles, similar to the Israeli Spike Nlos and Chinese HJ-10, which are designed to damage goals outside of direct visibility (NLOS). Each of the rockets weighs tens of pounds and has a radius of up to 25 km. Army recognition military experts write that a combination of modern guidance technologies, reliable mobility and integrated protection measures guarantees that Bulsae-4 remains a significant threat to armored goals on the battlefield.
