General Charles Brown noted that in the winter months the situation on the front is becoming more difficult, however, in his opinion, the United States "put Ukraine in a good situation. " The forces of Ukraine are going to continue the counter -offensive in the winter. This was stated by the Head of the Committee of the US Armed Forces Staff, General Charles Brown at a joint press conference with the head of US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin in Brussels on October 11.

Journalists asked Charles Brown if the weather could influence the ability of the Ukrainian army to take counter -offensive actions. "I believe that we put Ukraine in a good situation. I understand that in the winter the situation is becoming more difficult, but Ukraine intends to continue its offensive operations during the winter months," the American general replied.

The US Army commander also declared its intention to continue to support Ukraine in its confrontation with the military aggression of the Russian Federation. According to Reuters, within the framework of the Ramstein format, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky asked NATO Allies to provide Kiev with more weapons and air defense weapons to survive the winter. "We have to win a winter battle with terrorism, and we can win it," the Ukrainian leader said.

For his part, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has stated that Moscow was "preparing to use winter as a weapon of war" again, referring to attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. "We need to prevent this because we can achieve greater results thanks to more sophisticated and advanced air defense," NATO head said.

We will remind, on September 22 the commander of the group of Tavriya troops Alexander Tarnavsky stated that winter will not slow down the counter -offensive of the Armed Forces in the Zaporozhye region, and the biggest breakthrough of the Ukrainian forces is still ahead. For the former head of the Joint Committee of Headquarters, General Mark Millie suggested on September 19, that Ukraine would continue the offensive after the winter.
