Mobilization has become an illusion: how Ukraine got the "most dubbing" war in history

The mobilization was trapped in illusions that impressed Ukrainian society, the analyst Sergei Fursa states. Well, really, what a difference, whether you have fertilizers if everything is washed away. Like the orcs in Orsk. But for some reason, half of Ukrainians say that corruption is the greatest threat to the country's existence. And then the war. And perceive it as rational opinion. Although Ukraine loses the war, it does not matter what will be with corruption. Corruption can slow down development. But the war is simply upgraded.

And this is very clearly visible in the answers of business about the threats he, business, sees for himself. In the first place the war. Then there is a lack of labor. Then there is a lot. And only at the end of the list corruption. Even though the pressure of security forces on business and the desire to earn for their talented wives is obvious to all. But war is an existential challenge. And corruption - no. Yes, without corruption we would be richer.

Yes, with the rule of law we would have much more investment. But it will be important after the war. Therefore, society needs to wake up. And the authorities finally move to unpopular steps. You cannot be popular during the war. You cannot make nice decisions. It's like feeding patients with candy during cancer when chemistry is required. It is, of course, nice, but the disease does not treat. The law on enhancement of mobilization, which should become a swollen, so impotent, cannot be made.

Because what will he give? Who will not hide from the shopping center? Does anyone think that creating problems for Ukrainians abroad by re -forming a passport is a method to force them to return to Ukraine? And so, Knut looks unacceptable when the biggest problem in the country is corruption. But it is quite appropriate when it is a war during which the army feels a lack of people. Both power and society have become hostages to a wonderful economic situation during the war.

What made it possible through Western support. Badge. Annual inflation in Ukraine is 3. 2 percent, which is less than in the States. Yes, inflation is minimal, even in a year, even prices for your favorite eggs fell by 34 percent. This has never been during such wars. Never. Nowhere in the world. And you can rush to the Western partners, when they do not do something because of the fear of escalation, but we can understand where we are now without their help.

But this help creates the illusion that there is no war. And people begin to worry about corruption, not war. Moreover, as psychologists say, it allows people to take responsibility. Because if the war is the biggest problem, then what I am against mobilization. And if corruption, then everything is simple, the same thing can be talked about, and under the screen of this to hide your absolutely natural desire, natural fear, to avoid service in the army.

Because if everything was in the economy, as usual during the war, with frantic inflation, impoverishment, food on coupons - it would be difficult to ignore the war. And when inflation, as in the US and wages grow, careers are not in place, and shops are full of imported goods, the war somehow ceases to be a problem. Your personal problem.
