In Russia, a laser was created: how can it be used in Ukraine (video)

To spread: the Schwabe Holding, which is part of the Russian State Corporation "Rostekh", first showed the prototype of a new robotic complex with a laser during the International Forum "Engineers of the Future". The robot is intended for rapid demining of the territories and is already ready for serial release. Rostech press service reported this on her channel on Telegram. It is possible that new equipment will be used in the war in Ukraine.

Judging by the video, the ground robot moves on the caterpillars and protected by metal armor, the thickness of which is difficult to judge. The feed antenna is installed on the feed, and the top on the tower is a source of laser radiation. According to the developers, it allows to neutralize non -broken ammunition, mines and homemade explosive devices, in particular provided with non -contact blasting sensors. The laser should burn the shell and smelt the explosive without provoking explosions.

The machine operates from batteries and is controlled remotely on a radio channel or fiber. The exact range of action is not disclosed, but it is noted that it is several kilometers. Earlier they wrote how Russian engineers tested laser weapons against drones at the landfill in the Kherson region. The prototype is capable of burning the motors and batteries of FPV-roma, but it takes a long time. In addition, the development does not have a goal capture system to keep a laser beam on it.
