The key topic of negotiations in Brussels is security guarantees for Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this before meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. “It is very important to use these two days in Brussels to meet all our partners and have the same, which is very important, not divided - the same, common position of Europe on how to protect Ukraine, how to strengthen our people and, of course, make ours stronger army, ”the head of state said.

Particular attention was paid to strengthening the Ukrainian air defense, especially during the winter during the meeting. “We need to do everything you need now to be sure that when it comes to air defense, other weapons systems, we do our best to give everything in our power. We know about your request to put 19 systems to protect critical infrastructure to Ukraine. So it will all be on the agenda, ”NATO Secretary General said.

  Mark Rutte added that another important topic of negotiations is the economy of Ukraine. According to him, in this direction a very important example of Denmark and Lithuania for the purchase of Ukrainian weapons. “This is good news because it means more weapons for Ukraine, as well as money for the Ukrainian economy. So this is a very practical way to support you, ”he summed up.
