From mines to "Grads": the DPRK supplies for the Russian Federation the whole nomenclature

Experts have suggested that Russian artillerymen need such shells on the front line, so ammunition parties do not settle in rotation warehouses, and immediately go to the front. North Korea supplies the full range of its artillery ammunition to Russia, including shells to the artillery and rockets for volley fire systems. At the same time, the first deliveries of 122 mm and 152 mm of shells were recorded at the end of October, and on November 8 there were data on ammunition for the RSSL.

This was reported on November 12 by Defense Express. In addition to the mentioned ammunition, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation could receive 120 mm mines, but the authors of the material noted that in the published photos they are very similar to Soviet ammunition. The corresponding personnel were posted on social networks. For example, Ukraine Weapons Tracker outlined a photo of 122-mm and 152 mm of shells set by the DPRK, which was probably released relatively recently-in the 2000s.

The comments say that color, packaging, marking style are characteristic of ammunition of North Korean production. Also in the X (Twitter) there was a 10-second video with 122 mm jet shells for RSSV "Grad", in which the Russian soldier said that the ammunition was handed over "friends" from the DPRK. "This means supplying to the Russian Federation from the DPRK of the entire basic nomenclature of artillery ammunition," the observers write.

Experts noted that the appearance of these shells on the front line indicates that they did not settle somewhere in warehouses, where they should wait for their term for use on the principle of rotation, when they first use older ammunition. There is an assumption that Russian artillerymen need such shells on the front.
