According to the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Peter Filae, the country is also preparing for the construction of new nuclear reactors, both ordinary and small modular ones. The Czech Republic will stop importing oil and nuclear fuel from Russia in the next few months, which will allow it to achieve "energy independence". This was stated by the Czech Prime Minister Petr Fila, reports Irozhlas.

"The Czech Republic should become a much stronger state in terms of energy, including controlling key raw materials," Filah said. According to his statement, last year the government took measures to reduce dependence on Russia and plans to continue this course. He is also actively working on strengthening the role of the state in the energy sphere, which, as the FIAL emphasized, is strategically important.

"The Czech state has taken responsibility for a considerable part of what was in the hands of private investors or other states. ,-the Prime Minister said. He stressed that the Czech Republic has already fixed its share in the LNG terminal, acquired the Net4GAS operator and is preparing to increase the capacity of the Tal Transalpine Gas Pipeline. In addition, the country is actively preparing for the construction of new nuclear reactors, including both traditional and small modular.

"In these steps, we form true energy independence, which is very significant in modern conditions," he stressed. Fiala also emphasized the importance of strengthening the economy to ensure national security. He identified the development of transport infrastructure as an important aspect, but stressed that supporting education, science and research, as well as their integration with industry, is equally important.
