Mobilization 2024: General Staff "really satisfied" the pace of conscription in the Armed Forces - Kostenko

Increasing mobilization in Ukraine showed a result that even exceeded the expectation of military leadership. Now the government can prepare a new bill. The Armed Forces General Staff is satisfied with the results of increased mobilization in Ukraine. The secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Roman Kostenko told this in a comment in the Ukrainian Truth on June 19. "The General Staff is now really satisfied with the mobilization rate.

They are satisfied with the number of mobilized ones, which even exceeds expectations. They hope that this trend will remain," he reported. However, the People's Deputy noted that it is still necessary to see whether such rates of conscription will be maintained after the mobilization increases. "If by the end of the summer we see that they are stored and rising, then it will be possible to develop and submit to the Council a bill on demobilization," Kostenko said.

According to him, changes to the law on demobilization can be prepared by about October 2024. However, he stressed that this would be possible only if the enhancement of mobilization will continue to maintain such efficiency. We will remind, in the media they figured out which of the Ukrainians can mobilize up to 25 years. Lawyer Natalia Hnatik stressed that the concept of mobilization age is shaky.
