"Not sorry if destroyed": the expert explained why the Russian Federation launches new drones "Herbera"

To create a cheaper version of the Iranian drone "Shahamed", Russians could attract students with fresh ideas. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are used against Ukraine by new unmanned aerial vehicles "Herbera", probably designed by specialists of the special economic zone of Tatarstan "Alabuga", where the Shakhaped Factory is located. The peculiarities of these UAVs were told by Ukrainian military expert in the field of radio technologies Sergey Beskrestnov in an interview with dev. ua.

According to the expert, Gerbers consist of cheap materials: plywood, cardboard and foam. They can carry a charge, but sometimes fly without explosives. The occupiers use "gerberas" as false goals for Ukrainian air defense (air defense), so as not to spend more expensive "shahas". In particular, such devices were used during the attack on July 31. "These drones do not have expensive components and expensive navigation systems, so their Russians are not harmful when destroying," the expert said.

Another appointment of the drones of "Herbera" is visual intelligence. Despite the poor quality of video cameras and channels, UAVs are able to transmit LTE-channels fixed points of placement of Ukrainian air defense. For this purpose, the occupiers are equipped with SIM cards of Ukrainian mobile operators. Cameras on "gerbera" put low quality, but they may well show complexes of air defense of the Armed Forces. "Earlier, we found similar cameras on Shahd.

Most likely, the Russians decided that it was possible to create a cheaper option," - suggested Sergei Beskrestnov. According to the expert, the developers from Alabuga set themselves the purpose of creating a "younger brother" of Iranian drone "Shahed". The advent of this UAV is associated with a group called "Stalin Falcons", probably created at the beginning of a full -scale invasion.

The developers of "Herbers" position themselves as the "Gastello Design Bureau", but there are no official confirmations of such an organization in the Russian Federation. In the creation of a new UAV, the Russians could also attract local students, in particular from the Polytechnic Institute of Bekhterevo. Earlier, the "creativity" of Russian students was previously observed among the fragments of the whipped "shahas".

Thus, UAVs flew into Ukraine, additionally equipped with single-processor computers, modems, Wi-Fi-modules and other electronics attached with glue and adhesive tape. "This has their own logic because younger people are more creative and prone to creating a new one, why not attract them. That is, the involvement of" young minds "that they were given the opportunity to create," - explained Sergei Beskrestov. Recall that the Ukrainian manufacturer of FPV-Drones "Grim" Wardrone.
